Holiday Home Plus more

Thank you so much to Jo for letting me use her brand new stamp set Holiday Home.  I was a little nervous at first, worried that I would stain this lovely unmarked set.  So far so good I have been very careful and below is what I have made today.  Nothing brilliant, but fun. Hopefully I will have time to try out a few more before I have to hand it back.

These next two cards are the next Technique Class "Origami Christmas Trees". The next ones were from the last Technique Class.

I have had a stamp a stack too but don't seem to have a photo of those cards, I'll have to add that next time I'm on here.

The final photo is four generations of females in my family. My mum, my daughter and my grand daughter and me.  This was the first time we had all been together.

Thank You for looking. I hope you liked what you saw.

October Stamp a Stack

Here are the first five of the ten stamp a stack cards that we will be making on 7th October.  Still working on the next five. They will be assorted cards (not Christmas cards).  I will post a photo of the other cards after they are made.

Have a great day.

Screen Cards

At this month's Technique Class we are making screen cards.  The two cards above use the new stamp set Flower Patch from Stampin' Up!  I love this set there are so many different ways to use it and it also has a matching set of Framelits.  A tip for using the framelits is to match up the framelit and the stamp and mark them so it is easy to place the framelit in the right spot when you go to cut out. At the class on Tuesday night we will do one of the above and a Christmas style card too (if people want to).

I have made a card with four panels and one with three.  I think I like the four panelled one best, it's more dainty looking.  However it will also require a specially made envelope because of it's size.  Luckily I have the SU Envelope punch board and that wont be a problem. I got a bit carried away with the stamping on the top card and there isn't much space to write on so I put a panel on the back of the card for that.

We have two very special visitors at the moment, our daughter and her daughter.  It's so lovely to spend time with the two of them.   We don't get to see them often enough and we're certainly catching up on lots of hugs and kisses for Grandma and Grandad.

Ash has been doing a bit of card making too.  She is very much into Clean and Simple cards.  Here are a few she made.

I might have to CASE the little boat card it is soooo nice.  Simple and classy. Well I think so!!

Just thought I would end with another couple of shots of Elsie, she is just so gorgeous.

Thanks for looking. X

Building Block Cards

The first two cards below are what we made at the technique class last week. The first one uses Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow  and Whisper White card stock.

This card is Basic Black, Whisper White and Pool Party with a little bit of the Sweet Sorbet DSP.

This third Building Block card is the card the girls in my Stamp Club will be making this week. This one is Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and you can't really tell from the photo, but the letters are Silver Shimmer Paper.

I have made a couple of other cards in this style and I think I am just about over this design now.  Time to move on and find a new technique to try.

The new mini catalogue starts tomorrow if anyone would like a copy please contact me.

Thanks for looking.  I would love some comments.  No one ever leaves a comment : (

Stampin' Up! New Catalogue 2014-2015

These are the projects we are making tonight. The box at the top is made using the 'envelope punch board', and the card stock is Very Vanilla and Hello Honey, one of the new Stampin' Up! In Colors. The card on the left is last years In Colors Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantelope and I used the new Fringe Scissors to make the flower. On the right this card is Pear Pizazz, Wisteria Wonder and the new In Color Blackberry Bliss.  I used the new, very versatile stamp set 'Work of Art'.

Thanks for looking.

New Catalogue 1st July

I've been playing with the new stamp 'Blended Bloom' and the new 'Blendabilities', alcohol based markers in the 2014 - 2015 Stampin' Up! Catalogue. Colouring up is so therapeutic, I used to enjoy it, but haven't done any for so long. The new catalogue starts next week on July 1st.

These cards were made to show the girls in my stamp club how versatile the new stamp set 'Work of Art' is.  The top two cards on the left are made using the new In Colors too. All the girls were impressed and I think they will deffinately  consider this set when we next meet.

I will be having a catalogue launch on Tuesday 15th of July if anyone is interested.

Enjoy!

Sorry!

OMG!  How long has it been??  Too long, and I suppose everyone who used to check out my blog has given up bothering.  Anyway I don't have any good excuses, I think I just got busy and sort of lost interest in updating, sorry.

So here's a bit of a catch up in photos of some of what I have been doing:

The first two photos (above) are the cards we did at a stamp a stack in March. The second five cards are a bit of a technique class as well, we used the masking tape technique on them. It's so easy and effective especially on the cards with the Wetlands stamps. Love that set.

These cards are a sneak peak because they are for the next Stamp a Stack on 17th June.If any of you local to me are interested please contact me and book your spot.

Below is a Card in a Box.  This was a technique of the month card, the first one is the actual card we made.  It's a simpler version I used designer series papers for the flowers.  The card underneath was more involved because I stamped and then cut out the flowers using framelits.  I thought that would be too time consuming for a class.  Everyone loved this card, and some have reported that they have made more at home.  They are really lovely.  I have made another one, but haven't photographed it, it's rather special white on white with a few touches of silver.  Hearts and flowers. It's for a wedding we are going to later in the year.

These cards were the technique class in April, thanks to my neighbour for showing me how to make the lattice edge cards. We also made that card at Stamp Club.  We usually do whatever the technique class is that month at stamp club.

The final two cards were last weeks technique class the Starburst or Sunburst technique. The girls at stamp club did this technique but a different design.  At the technique class a few of the ladies changed the blue one and put a flower in the middle rather than the surfer.  That looked nice too, they used markers in all the same colours to colour directly onto the stamp, very effective.

Leaving the best till last.  Here is the beautiful Elsie Amarlie, our gorgeous first grandchild.  She was born on 9th April weighing 4kg and she hasn't stopped growing since.  We love her so much and wish we lived nearer. The first photo is the day she was born and the last two were taken last weekend.

Thanks for coming back, if anyone did : )  I'll try to update a little more often.

Regards
