The Latest Stamp a Stack Cards (October)
I think everyone was happy with what they made and this way they could choose if they did all Christmas cards or a mixture.
Thanks for looking. I hope to be back soon with photos of the cards we will make for the Technique class in November.

September Stamp a Stack + more
If you are like me and check out lots of card making blogs, you will have noticed quite a few of these Triple Stamping cards. I have had a bit of a play and here are a few of the cards I made. We will be doing this technique at the Technique of the Month class next Tuesday.
The top card is made using Gumball Green, Primrose Petals (two of the new In colors) and Whisper White. The stamp set is Betsy's Blosoms and the sentiment is Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
The Christmas cards are Real Red, Always Artichoke and Whisper White. The stamp sets are Ornament Keepsakes, Season of Joy, Many Merry Messages and Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
The cards below are from the September Stamp a Stack. All the Christmas cards feature the new Stampin' Up! embossing folder "Holiday Frame". The others used up some of my mostly retired DSP & ribbon plus we used five different jumbo wheels and various stamps.
Thanks for looking I hope you like what you've seen. It's school holidays here now, so hopefully I will get some time to do a bit more card making for fun rather than just planning and preparing for classes. I do have visitors arriving today for ten days, so I might be busy doing other things.

August Stamp a Stack Cards
It's been a busy month so sorry for the lack of posts. I should really be on here showing you the things I have been making with my new goodies from the new Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up! and the gorgeous Holiday mini catalogue. I have been playing and making things, but so far I haven't gotten around to taking any photos. I'm having my launch night on Tuesday, so maybe after that. But then there will be a stamp a stack to get organised for !!! : ) It never stops does it.
You can check out the new catalogue by going to the Stampin Up! website there's a link in the right hand column, Usefull Links (the top one).
Anyway, here are the cards we made last month. Hope you like them. This time for a change I gave people a choice of making five ordinary cards and five Christmas cards, or ten of ordinary or ten Christmas cards. That sounds confusing, I hope you know what I mean.
Thanks for looking. I will try to get back here sooner rather than later next time.

Retiring List is up
Hi Everyone,
Welll one month to go until the new Stampin' Up! Catalogue is available. In preparation for all the new products coming SU has released the retiring list. Go here to see the lists, there are two lists. One for accessories and one for stamps. These products wont be making an appearance in the new catalogue. Don't panic too much when you see the ink pads in there. These are all retiring because they are being replaced by a new style of ink pad with a firm foam pad. Items on the retiring list are only available while stocks last, so if there is something on there that you have been thinking of getting do it now! (I just tried to order some Dotto refill and they've sold out already!!) You could even pick up a bargain as some items are reduced. If there is anything you would like to order, or if you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact me.
I have just place a pre order of items from the new catalogue including the New 2012-2014 In Colors. As soon as they arrive and I have time to play with them I will post some photos.
Bye for now,
Janice

July Technique Class 'Beautiful Boxes'
The box on the left is called a cupcake box, though you could use it for any small gift or chocolates. It has a window on the front so that you can see what is inside. The other cake wedge type box is really cute, the lovely rose on top is made using the fancy flower punch from SU. The girls at my stamp club will be making that box this week. These are two of the projects we did at the recent Australias Biggest Morning Tea at Crafters Anonymous. If you check out my earlier post you will see the same boxes but in different colours.
There are still a couple of spots available at the technique class if you are local to me and interested in coming along.
Bye for now!

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser.
Wow!! I'm exhausted. I've just taken part in an online craft day held at Crafters Anonymous to raise money for the Cancer Council. It was full on from 7am WA time, until 3pm. During that time I have made seven projects, we had an hour to do each and to photograph them and upload them onto the CA website. I only just made it each time and I was amazed at the wonderful things people made, some of them in a really short time. I don't know how they do it!!
Here are the photos of what I made, including the mess, in no particular order.
The first card here was a colour challenge. Create something using the Neutral colours.
Here's a great way to wrap a chocolate bar to give as a gift. It's very quick and easy.

The next card was a layout challenge, it was a scrapbook page but I made mine into a card. Besides the layout the other stipulation was there had to be a cupcake on the project.
This little cupcake is an alternate version to the plant pot card I made a few weeks back.
Next we had a recipe challenge. I was expecting something to do with a cake recipe or something similar. However, this is what it was: Ingredients: Plain cardstock, Patterned paper, cutting die or template, adhesive of your choice.
Method: Throw all the ingredients into your "mixing bowl". Stir until happy with your mixture. You can now add your "icing". Icing Ingredients: One Sentiment, Pearl button, Lace/Ribbon and a Toothpick.
This is what I came up with.

This gorgeous little box has an accetate window so you can peep inside, very cute.
I've been wanting to have a go at one of these cake boxes for a long time so now I know how easy it was I will have to make some more. I can imagine a Beautiful Boxes technique class coming up soon!
Finally this is what my table looks like now! Where to start? I suppose just start putting everything away, one thing at a time.
Thanks to the ladies at CA for organising the day. I even managed to win a prize. Nothing to do with my creative talents, a random draw. Not sure what yet, but I will be looking forward to finding out soon.
Hope you all had a good weekend and managed to do something nice.
Bye for now,
Janice

Stamp a Stack
Here are the cards for my next Stamp a Stack, on Tuesday 15th May. The first photo was taken indoors with a flash so it isn't very clear. I've made it a bit bigger so that hopefully you can get the idea. All the cards feature the new Stampin' Up! framelit dies.
The next five cards use the In Colours and the new stamp set Mixed Bunch. I also used the new punch Blossom.
I hope you like them.
Cheers,
Janice

Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue Launch
Hi ,
I was supposed to have my Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue Launch last week but my order of things from the new mini didn't turn up until the day of the launch, so I had to cancel. I think Easter was the reason that the mail took so long.
Anyway now I've had my things for a week and I have been playing with everything, Love it!!! I took a couple of photos this afternoon of two cards we will be making at the launch night next Tuesday.
This first one uses the Edgelits Dies and the Framelits Dies, plus theTextured Impressions Embossing Folders. The stamp set is Apothecary Art, stamped in Stazon and a little bit of colour was added using watercolour crayons. Mother is from a retired
stamp set. I've also used the Lace Ribbon Border punch.

The next card uses the Medallion stamp (not a new one) I've embossed this with silver embossing powder. Again the sentiment is a retired stamp. In the centre of the medallion I have placed a rosette made from Mocha Morning DSP. I used the new Stampin' Up! Simply Scored Scoring Tool to make the rosette. This tool makes scoring such a breeze! The edges of the rosette are decorated using the Scallop Trim Border punch and the corners of the black matt card are punched with the Scallop Trim Corner punch.
It's a bit hard to see the three dimentional effect of the rosette. That's a sparkley Glimmer Brad in the middle.
I hope you like what you've seen. I will try to post more photos soon.
Thanks for looking,
Regards,
Janice
